FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What days can I schedule?
You can schedule any day during the week. We will take sessions between the hours of 8am to 10pm, Sunday through Saturday.
How much notice should I give?
We prefer to know about a potential session at least 3 days before the projected date. We do this to make sure that both you and the engineer have all the information you need to in order to make the session as smooth and quick as possible.
How much does it cost?
As there are many factors that go into recording, mixing, or mastering any project, it's difficult to give an accurate estimate to any project without speaking to you first. Please use our Book Online page in order to speak with us and receive a quote.
We do charge a 50% non-refundable deposit on your first session with us. We do this in order to make sure you are serious about your music and about working with us.
How much time should I set aside for recording?
Depending on the size of your project and its needs, recording can take anywhere from 1 hour to multiple days. While it's safe to assume that a recording session will be at least 1 hour per instrument, it's never set in stone as anything can happen to interrupt that flow. If you want any guidance on how much time to reserve with us or another studio, give us a shout at our Contact page.
Do I need to record with you to have a song mixed & mastered?
Nope! Our recording and mixing services are separate. If you have any songs that are ready for mixing or mastering we will gladly work with you to make them sound as good as they possibly can.
How long does mixing & mastering take?
While it's difficult to give an exact time frame, it's pretty standard for a first draft to be ready no later than 2 weeks after the initial mixing meeting. After that, it will be time to start working on revisions and the length that that takes is dependent upon how many revisions you'd like.
